What is AMSOIL?: AMSOIL Synthetic Lubricants are fuel efficient, extended life lubricants manufactured from select synthetic base stocks and special purpose additives. These lubricants provide improved overall performance characteristics when compared to conventional petroleum oils. AMSOIL was the first synthetic oil to acquire the API service rating. They achieved this in 1972. They have led the way in the lubricant industry, setting numerous "firsts" . The latest being the introduction of an automatic transmission fluid that meets the requirements of the "big three" American automakers and most of the foreign automakers. No longer do you have to have separate ATF for your Ford, Chevy or Chrysler. AMSOIL synthetic ATF works in all three.

Why Should I Use AMSOIL? (auto) Since Amsoil provides improved overall performance characteristics when compared to conventional petroleum oils it saves you money. It will decrease the wear of mechanical components, and save time due to increased drain intervals. So the end result is a savings of time, money and longer engine life. Why Should I Use AMSOIL? (snow) See auto section above. AMSOIL two stroke oils flow better at low temps when compared to conventional petroleum oils. This helps ensure your injection unit is metering the correct amount of oil, as long as it is adjusted correctly of course. AMSOIL also burns cleaner. This is extremely important with today's newer engines. The high output of today's two stroke engines requires the best lubrication possible. Also, the exhaust valves in newer motors are very susceptible to the formation of carbon deposits. Amsoil burns clean and therefore leaves fewer deposits. This ensures exhaust valves are functioning correctly and providing the benefits they were designed to provide. Are All Two Stroke Oils Created Equal? Absolutely NOT! AMSOIL oils are made from the finest base stock products available today. The are second to none. They meet or exceed API TC, NMMA TC-W3 Standards. Non synthetic oils are pumped from the ground and must be refined before they can be used. Amsoil is a pure lubricant made in a laboratory.

Can I Mix Oils? You can, however, I suggest that you use most of, or drain your current two stroke oil before using any brand different from what you are currently using. This will ensure that a reaction between the chemicals contained in the differing oils does not hinder performance. This is my own suggestion not an official position of Amsoil.
